Well it has certainly been a while since I have blogged...179 days to be exact. In the 179 days so much has happened and definitely not all in the right direction to getting Andy and I moved into our new home. I won't bore you will with all of the details or give you a big soap opera, but we certainly have had our ups and downs with this remodel. It feels like more downs than ups but that might be the pessimism in me.
However,...currently we are a little more optimistic. Currently.
As of this week- we are officially getting ready to spray texture, we have officially picked out our paint colors for the entire house and tested them (holy cow are we good color pickers or what...you guys are going to diiiiiie), we have officially picked out all of our bathroom vanities, and we feel like we are making slow gains...finally!
We know there is still so much to do:
-Paint the entire house...and by entire, I truly mean entire- Thankfully we have darling friends who have agreed to a painting party in exchange for pizza, beer, and jams. Bless their sweet little hearts for helping us.
-Lay hardwood floors
-Lay tile in the bathroom
-Get carpet installed
-Install all vanities, faucets, toilets, showers, etc.
-Install all light fixtures
-Paint existing trim
-Install and paint new trim
-And the list goes on (and that doesn't even include what we want to do outside to it but that can be done after move in)
*That's a short list, right?

P.S. I realize now that if it takes me 179 days between blogs, my hopes of being the next pioneer woman sure are shot to hell. One can dream though, right?
